P-CAP purple black label style

This is a collaboration with my friend notakiworks.

The logo is engraved in our signature colors.

Its name is P-CAP.
Until now, we thought that by attaching a cover to the body of a plastic bottle, we could hide the label and the color of the drink, creating a unified look for the site.
However, one day about two years ago while I was talking with my friends at a camping trip, we started discussing how it would be perfect if we could hide the cap.
When we actually started making it, we couldn't create something we were satisfied with because the screw pitch and thread height vary depending on the PET bottle. So we decided to leave the cap as it was, but create a cover to attach to the cap, and after much trial and error, we completed this product.

The particular attention to detail we paid to the design was to ensure that even the ring underneath the cap is hidden when closed. Whether this part is hidden or not makes a huge difference in appearance.

And we were able to produce everything in-house, from cutting the aluminum material to the coloring anodizing process, without outsourcing anything.
Actually, making it completely handmade is what I wanted most, and it's probably my biggest focus with this piece (product).

The material is aluminum, which is also used for aircraft parts.
This masterpiece was created entirely by hand by a single craftsman, from cutting it out on a lathe to color anodizing.
Enjoy the uniformity of the site, the texture that only metal can provide, and the sense of ownership that comes with it.

Usage notes

- It is compatible with most plastic bottles sold in Japan, but some may not be compatible.
- If you have a new plastic bottle, open the cap once before attaching it to ensure smooth installation.
・The resin of the plastic bottle cap expands when closed and contracts when opened, so the resin may wear down and become loose with use. In that case, you will need to use a different cap or make a small dent on the inside with a punch or other tool.
